Hyderabad to Host Central Milad Procession on September 14
- 1500th Milad Celebrations – Historic event to begin from Mecca Masjid after Zuhr prayers
- Committee stresses discipline, respect, and peaceful participation
Hyderabad, September 8: The Central Milad Procession Committee of Hyderabad announced that the Central Milad Procession will be held on Sunday, September 14, marking the 1500th celebration of the Birth of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
The procession will begin from the historic Mecca Masjid after Zuhr prayers and is expected to witness large participation.
At a press conference here, committee officials detailed the route of the procession. It will pass through Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Madina Building, Nayapul, Salar Jung Museum, Darushifa, Purani Haveli, Mandi Mir Alam, Ettebar Chowk, Kotla Alijah, Bibi Bazaar Crossroads, Moghulpura, and conclude at Volta Hotel.
The announcement was made by Maulana Syed Shaikhan Ahmed Qadri Shatari Kamil Pasha, President of the Central Milad Procession Committee, along with General Secretary Maulana Syed Khadir Mohiuddin Qadri Junaid Pasha Zareen Kalaah and Convener Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Muzzaffar Hussain Khan Qadri Banda Nawazi.
Senior members including Maulana Syed Muhammad Ali Qadri Al Hashmi Mumshad Pasha, Joint Secretary Maulana Syed Shah Muhammad Saifullah Hussaini Al Baqri, Joint Convener Maulana Syed Ahmad Al Hussaini Sayeed Qadri, and others were also present.

Officials emphasized that the 1500th Milad celebrations must be observed with “utmost devotion and respect.” They urged participants to maintain discipline by avoiding vehicle stunts and refraining from using DJs.
The committee appealed for clean attire as a mark of love for the Prophet (peace be upon him) and encouraged participants to walk on foot while reciting salutations (Durood Sharif).
The procession will carry flags bearing the Kalima Tayyiba, images of Madinah, and the Indian Tricolor. Committee members stressed that all flags must be treated with respect.
They added that the Milad procession is not only an expression of devotion by the Muslim community but also an opportunity for people of all faiths to embrace the Prophet’s message of peace and love.
As in previous years, a central stage will be set up near Charminar, along with other arrangements across different points of the route. The committee expressed its gratitude to the AIMIM leadership for extending support in facilitating the event.
