Consumption Of Indigenous Products Should Be Increased: MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy

Hyderabad, Sept 21 (Maxim News):  BJP Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said that India will be able to achieve self sufficiency only when it can reduce imports from abroad and increase the consumption of indigenous goods.

Representatives of various industrial and business groups discussed issues such as increasing the consumption of indigenous goods, GST liberalization, and the burden on the government at a conference organized by Bollampalli Indrasen Reddy, Regional Vice President of Bharat Global Industries Forum, at the Park Hyatt in Banjara Hills.

Speaking at the event, Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said that the new GST policy introduced recently by the GST Council under the Central Government will temporarily reduce the revenue due to the Central Government by about 7 lakh crores.

However, the industry groups said that due to the trust the government has in the people of the country, there is a possibility of a higher amount of taxes due to GST in the coming period. 

The industry groups said that due to the high imports from foreign countries in  many key sectors, foreign exchange will have to be spent, and to overcome this problem, the Central government should strategically take the initiative and enter into business agreements with companies from other countries.

He said that the need to use more indigenous products has increased to reduce the impact of the recent US tariffs.  He said that industry leaders and businessmen, along with representatives of the Swadeshi jagaran Manch, will submit a report on these issues to the central government ministries.  

Speaking on the occasion, the conference organizer Bollampalli Indrasen Reddy said that there are good opportunities to increase the use of indigenous goods in many sectors including agriculture, defense, artificial intelligence, drones, insurance, construction, tourism, infrastructure, and manufacturing, and that industry leaders have recently taken special initiatives and are focusing more on this issue.

He said that all the suggestions received in this conference will be heard by the central government.  Thus, there will be an opportunity to formulate new reforms and incentives in the coming days.  Bharat Global Industries Forum All India Organizing Secretary Siddhartha Sharma. Swadeshi Jagaran manch National Convenor Sundaram, All india organizing Secretary kashmir lal, All india Co-Organizing Secretary Satish Kumar, National Co-Convenor Professor Ashwini mahajan, National Co-Convenor Bhagwantu prasad and others participated in this conference.  (Maxim News)
