Hyderabad Floods | Hyderabad, Sept 27 (Maxim News): Food and drinking water are being supplied to stranded families using drones, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V Ranganath inspects Chaderghat, Moosarambagh and MGBS, appeals to residents in flood-affected colonies to move to safer places.
The Musi River has turned into a raging force following heavy rains, submerging several areas of the city, localities including Chaderghat, Puranapool, MGBS, and Moosarambagh have been severely impacted by floodwaters. HYDRA, Revenue, NDRF, SDRF, and GHMC teams have launched relief and rescue operations in coordination.
Food and drinking water are being supplied to stranded families using drones, while ground forces continue evacuation drives. Hyderabad Commissioner A.V. Ranganath personally visited the affected zones on Saturday to assess the situation.

At Chaderghat, where colonies were inundated, Commissioner Ranganath reviewed relief measures and appealed to residents to move to safer areas. For those trapped on rooftops, food packets and water were distributed through drone services.
In Moosarambagh, the Commissioner examined flood-hit colonies, while at MGBS he reviewed the damage caused by the collapse of the retaining wall that allowed floodwaters to enter.
He praised the efforts of Disaster Response Force (DRF), police, RTC, and GHMC teams, who safely evacuated hundreds of passengers from the bus station during Friday midnight floods.
Ranganath instructed DRF units to remain alert through the Dasara holidays to ensure uninterrupted services for travelers. “We are continuously reviewing the situation and taking precautionary measures,” he said.
He also appreciated the coordination between NDRF, SDRF, GHMC, police, and other civic teams.
The Commissioner urged residents of low-lying colonies along the Musi River to remain cautious as rain is expected to continue.
He noted that if showers decrease, water levels may recede by evening, but emphasized that vigilance is essential given the volatility of the floods. (Maxim News)
