Telangana Created Record In Liquor Sales During Two Days Of Dussehra
Hyderabad, Oct 3 (Maxim News) Liquor sales in Telangana state reached a record high during Dussehra. Drug dealers bought liquor in large quantities on September 30 and October 1.
Excise department officials said that liquor sales worth Rs. 419 crore were made in two days.
On September 30, it was stated that liquor sales worth Rs. 333 crore were made. Officials revealed that liquor sales worth Rs. 86 crore were made on October 1. They explained that liquor sales have doubled since September 26 compared to normal days.
Since Dussehra and October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) fell on the same day, excise department officials clarified that huge liquor sales took place the day before. (Maxim News)
