Case Against BRS Leaders Maganti Sunitha And Other For Violation Of MCC
Hyderabad, Nov 12 (Maxim News): A case has been registered at the Jubilee Hills police station against BRS candidate maganti Sunitha, her daughter maganti Akshara, Yousufguda corporator Rajkumar Patel and four others for campaigning for the Jubilee Hills by-election without taking permission at places of worship in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
According to the plice report, Jubilee Hills BRS candidate maganti Sunitha, her daughter Akshara, along with Corporator Rajkumar Patel, BRS leaders Azam Ali, Anjad Ali Khan, Fayeem, Shai and others were seen wearing party scarves and carrying pamphlets at a prayer hall in Venkatagiri on Friday afternoon.
Flying Squad Team Deputy Tehsildar Francis observed and conducted inspections with the staff. At that time, it was found that Maganti Sunitha, her daugher and other leaders were holding cards in their hands, praying and carrying out activities to influence the voters.
This was completely against the election code of conduct and the election rules prohibit political parties from campaigning in religious areas, said Flying Squad Team Officer Francis. A complaint was filed with the police demanding action be taken against them. Jubilee Hills Police is investigating the case. (Maxim News)
