Hyderabad, Oct 15 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad General Post Office has started 24×7 night shift booking services from today.

Enabling customers to book and dispatch Speed Post documents at any hour.

Operations will run from 08:00 PM to 08:00 AM in addition to daytime counters, ensuring continuous service.

The move is aimed at offering uninterrupted access and greater convenience to the public.

According to the announcement, the night shift facility begins on 15 October 2025 at the Hyderabad GPO.

The service specifically covers Speed Post document (letter) booking and dispatch.

Therefore, customers who need late-evening or overnight services can now complete bookings without waiting for daytime hours.

This also helps time-sensitive mail reach the network earlier.

Officials stated that the Hyderabad GPO will keep booking counters operational through the night to support consistent Speed Post movement.

Meanwhile, the objective is to reduce service gaps and improve customer experience. Then, as volumes grow, the night shift is expected to smoothen peak-time queues and distribute demand across the 24-hour cycle.

The Hyderabad GPO has invited customers to use the 24×7 booking facility for their convenience.
The Chief Post Master, GPO Hyderabad, encouraged people to take advantage of the extended timings. Later, the department may assess night-time footfall and fine-tune staffing to match demand.
