Israel Halts Aid To Gaza

Tel Aviv/Internet/Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Maxim News): An Israeli security official said on Sunday that humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza have been suspended. They will not be allowed until further notice.  Israel made the announcement after accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement.

The development comes after humanitarian aid deliveries were expected to resume for at least a week after a US-brokered ceasefire agreement ended the two year war.  Israel launched strikes on several areas in Gaza on Sunday after Hamas militants fired on its forces.  Trucks carrying food, medicine, blankets, tents and other essential items for Palestinians enter Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah crossing.
