Bomb Threat Emails To Delhi Schools: Police on High Alert
- Multiple Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threat Emails, Students Evacuated
- Police Conduct Extensive Searches; No Explosives Found So Far
Bomb threats created panic once again in the national capital on Friday as several private schools in Delhi received threatening emails in the morning hours. The Delhi Police immediately went on high alert and began inspections at the affected schools to ensure safety.
According to reports, the threats were received by Andhra School in Dwarka Sector 16, CRPF School, Sant Darshan Public School in Najafgarh, and Shanti Gyan Niketan School in Goila Dairy.
Unknown individuals sent email messages claiming explosives had been planted inside the school premises. Responding swiftly, school authorities alerted the police, who reached the locations and evacuated students and staff as a precautionary measure.
Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were deployed to conduct searches. Officers thoroughly inspected classrooms, compounds, and parking areas. However, no explosives or suspicious materials were found during these searches. After confirming the premises were safe, the schools were declared clear of any threat.
Police officials confirmed that cases have been registered and investigations are underway to trace the origin of the threatening emails.
Authorities are examining digital footprints and communication channels to identify those behind the false messages. The incident comes amid a recent surge in similar hoax threats targeting schools, government buildings, and other public institutions across India.
In recent months, more than a hundred schools in Delhi have received bomb threats through email, all of which were later proven to be fake.
Despite that, security agencies continue to take each threat seriously to prevent any potential risk. The Delhi Police have urged citizens and institutions to remain vigilant while refraining from panic, assuring that all necessary precautions are being taken.
