Hyderabad, June 4 (Maxim News): In a firm step to strengthen law and order in the Rajendranagar Zone, the Attapur Police have initiated preventive legal action against 13 identified rowdy sheeters by binding them over for good behavior under the supervision of the Executive Magistrate.
The accused were produced before Sri S. Srinivas, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajendranagar Zone, who reviewed their history sheets and criminal background before ordering preventive bind-over proceedings. The action aims to ensure that the individuals do not indulge in any unlawful, anti-social, or disturbance-causing activities in the future.
Police officials said the move is part of a sustained drive to curb repeat offenders and maintain peace in sensitive localities such as Attapur, MM Pahadi, Suleman Nagar, Kishan Bagh, and surrounding areas under Rajendranagar jurisdiction.
Authorities clarified that the bind-over action is a preventive policing measure taken under relevant legal provisions to restrict habitual offenders from disturbing public order. The individuals have been formally warned to maintain peace and execute personal bonds assuring good conduct for a specified period.

Officials added that all 13 individuals have prior history sheets or involvement in repeated petty offences and were under close surveillance of local police stations.
The Rajendranagar Zone Police reiterated that such preventive steps are crucial to stop escalation of minor offences into serious criminal activities and to safeguard community safety.
Police further emphasized that surveillance on rowdy sheeters and suspicious elements has been intensified across the zone through regular checks, field monitoring, and intelligence-based policing.
They warned that any violation of bind-over conditions will result in immediate detention and strict legal consequences under applicable law. Repeat offenders will face enhanced preventive detention measures.
Authorities also urged citizens to cooperate with police and report any suspicious or illegal activities to ensure a peaceful environment in Hyderabad’s rapidly growing residential and commercial corridors.
