Hyderabad, Nov. 2: Former Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar visited the residence of BRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao to offer condolences over the death of Rao’s father, Satyanarayana Rao.

Anjani Kumar paid floral tributes to the late Satyanarayana Rao and expressed sympathy to Harish Rao and his family.
Former minister Sudarshan Reddy accompanied Anjani Kumar during the visit. Later, Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Banda Prakash also met Harish Rao and conveyed his condolences.

Anjani Kumar, a 1990-batch IPS officer, took charge as Telangana’s Director General of Police on December 31, 2022.
He was later suspended by the Union Public Service Commission for alleged rule violations, though the suspension was subsequently revoked after his explanation. Before serving as DGP, he worked as Hyderabad Police Commissioner.
