- Reliance initiative to serve 2 lakh meals daily for devotees
- Project aligns with TTD and Andhra government partnership
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced the construction of a state-of-the-art kitchen at Tirumala that will serve devotees under the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust. The project aims to prepare and deliver more than two lakh meals every day, making it one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country. The initiative will be carried out in partnership with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and supported by the Andhra Pradesh government.
The new facility will feature advanced automation systems to improve efficiency and food quality. Officials from Reliance said the project reflects the company’s commitment to promoting service, sustainability, and community welfare. The announcement followed Ambani’s visit to Tirumala on Sunday morning, where he participated in prayers and discussed the scope of the initiative with temple authorities.

Highlighting the spiritual significance of the project, a press release from the company stated, “Tirumala stands as an eternal symbol of faith, compassion, and selfless service. Through this effort, we are humbled to contribute to N. Chandrababu Naidu’s noble vision of extending the Anna Seva tradition to all the TTD temples.” The message emphasized Reliance’s goal to strengthen Anna Seva across all TTD-managed temples, ensuring that no devotee is left hungry.
Meanwhile, after his visit to Tirumala, Ambani travelled to Guruvayur in Kerala, where he visited the famous Guruvayur Sri Krishna temple. During his visit, he made a donation of Rs 5 crore to the temple, reaffirming his support for major religious and charitable initiatives across South India. The twin acts of devotion and philanthropy underline the Reliance chairman’s long-standing tradition of contributing to cultural and humanitarian projects.
The kitchen project at Tirumala, once completed, is expected to significantly enhance meal distribution for devotees visiting one of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites. It will also symbolize the collaboration between industry, government, and temple administration for promoting inclusive service.
