Delhi Blast: Raghunandan Rao Slams Misinformation Campaign
Sangareddy/Hyderabad, November 12 (Maxim News): Strong reactions continue to pour in following the Delhi Red Fort bomb blasts, which claimed 12 lives and shook the nation. While leaders across the political spectrum have condemned the attack, BJP Medak MP Raghunandan Rao has come down heavily on those spreading misinformation about the incident on social media.
Speaking during the ‘Sardar-Ekta Padayatra’, organized on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Raghunandan Rao said it was unfortunate that some people were attempting to link the BJP with the blasts. The padayatra, which began at the IB office in Sangareddy and ended at the Collectorate, saw participation from several leaders including BJP Medak district president Godavari Anjireddy and local activists.
Expressing anger over the false narratives circulating online, Raghunandan Rao said, “What does the BJP have to do with the bomb blasts? It is shameful that some people are trying to politicize such a tragic incident. There is no greater treason than this.”
He urged people not to believe or defend those spreading baseless claims, adding that social media was being misused to mislead the public. Rao further alleged that a conspiracy might be behind the blasts, calling for a thorough investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already issued a stern warning that “no one involved in the blasts will be spared,” as central agencies continue their probe into the incident. (Maxim News)
