BRS Demands Withdrawal Of Orders Restrictions On Assembly Premises
Hyderabad, Nov 13 (Maxim News) BRS Legislative Council member Dasoju Sravan has demanded the withdrawal of a controversial bulletin issued by the speaker’s office imposing strict restrictions on entry into the Assembly premises during the ongoing hearing on disqualification petitions.
He accused the administration of stifling transparency and public scrutiny by barring visitors, media personnel, former MLAs, MPs, and MLCs from entering the Assembly. “Even former elected representatives are being denied access, while current MLAs and MLCs are restricted only to their party offices,” he said.
He also accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of plunging the state into an “economic crisis” through mismanagement and unchecked borrowing. Highlighting the government’s fiscal failures, he claimed the proposed state budget of Rs 2.30 lakh crore has barely been met, with revenue collections achieving only 40% of targets.
GST collections hovered at a dismal 42%, while the real estate sector has been “utterly devastated.” In just two years the government has piled on Rs 3.48 lakh crore in debt, plus another Rs 1 lakh crore in off-budget borrowings unrelated to the budget. (Maxim News)
