Telangana Deep Freeze: Low Temperatures Recorder In Hyderabad And Other Districts
Hyderabad: Telangana continued to reel under an intense coldwave on Wednesday, with several districts recording the season’s lowest temperatures. Kumaram Bheem Asifabad was the coldest at 7.9°C, followed by Adilabad (8.8°C) and Sircilla (9.0°C).
Districts such as Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Nirmal, Jagitial, Medak, and Rangareddy reported minimum temperatures between 9.3°C and 10.6°C, reflecting a widespread chill across the state.
Hyderabad Shivers at 10.8°C
In Hyderabad, the coldwave was equally prominent. The University of Hyderabad (UoH), Serilingampally, recorded the city’s lowest temperature at 10.8°C.
Rajendranagar and BHEL registered 12.2°C, while Bollaram, Secunderabad Cantonment, and West Maredpally saw temperatures between 12.3°C and 13.1°C.
Areas such as Gachibowli, Jeedimetla, Neredmet, and Alwal recorded temperatures in the 13.3°C to 13.9°C range.
Localities including Karwan, LB Stadium, Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Bowenpally, Musheerabad, Begumpet, Malkajgiri, Madhapur, and Jubilee Hills hovered between 14.1°C and 15.1°C, continuing to feel the winter chill.
Coldwave to Persist
Residents across Telangana woke up to foggy mornings and chilly winds. Schools, commuters, and outdoor workers have adapted to the biting early-morning cold.
Weather officials have warned that the coldwave is likely to continue for the next few days, with below-normal temperatures expected to persist in Hyderabad and several neighbouring districts.
