Govt committed to welfare of retired Army personnel: KCR
Hyderabad, Jan 20 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao here on Friday has reiterated that his government is committed to the welfare of the retired Army personnel.
The Telangana State government is setting up a large fund for the Sainik welfare. Retired Army personnel from the Telangana State met the Chief Minister and expressed their gratitude and thanks for initiating many measures for the welfare of the Army personnel, for the first time in the country, which no other State government ever thought of doing. The retired army personnel under the leadership of MP Capt Laxmikanth Rao have met the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan here.
Speaking on the occasion, several retired Army personnel said that in the past no other Chief Minister ever bothered even to give them appointment or listen to their genuine problems.
Chandrashekhar Rao is the only Chief Minister in the country who is thinking about the Sainik Welfare, the Army personnel lauded the CM. “Chief Minister Sir, We are treating you as one of our members of the profession and we look towards you as a true Commander, “the Army Personnel said in an emotion-choked voice. They later raised slogans, “Jai Jawan! Jai Kisan, Jai Telangana! Jai KCR!” Understanding their emotions, the Chief Minister hugged each one of them and personally inquired about their well-being.
Retired Army Personnel Welfare Association leaders have presented an Artillery Model Gun to the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Along with MP Capt Laxmikanth Rao, Telangana State Sainik Welfare Director, Col (Retd) Ramesh Kumar, retired Army Personnel Suresh Reddy, Jagan Reddy, Pochaiah, Francis, Prabhakar Rao, Manohar Reddy and others participated. (Maxim News)
