Likewise, the Jharasangam and Mogudampally areas recorded 7.6 degrees. As a result, residents, students and commuters faced significant hardship throughout the day.

Commuters faced challenges on early morning routes as vehicles moved slowly in the cold. Despite steady public activity, turnout in some areas remained low due to harsh weather.

Medical professionals advised people to stay alert and follow essential precautions during the cold spell. They emphasised safe clothing, warm shelter and timely medical attention for vulnerable groups. The cold wave persisted even as Patancheru recorded 14.6 degrees, marking a clear contrast with the sharp fall in Kohir.
