Electricity Dept ADE Caught By ACB While Taking A Bribe Of Rs. 15,000

Nagarkurnool/Hyderabad, Dec 9 (Maxim News) The Anti-Corruption Bureau is cracking down on employees who are engaging in corrupt activities against government employment rules. The ACB, which is responding promptly to complaints from victims, is catching corrupt officials red-handed.

Recently, ADE Venkateshwarlu, an Assistant Divisional Engineer in Kalwakurthy Sub-Division of Nagarkurnool district, was caught accepting a bribe. The victim, who hails from Chokkannapalli village in Veldanda mandal, approached the electricity department officials to install a transformer at his house and a meter in his name.

With this, ADE, who had demanded Rs. 20 thousand, was caught by ACB officials on Tuesday while taking Rs. 15 thousand. Officials revealed that a case has been registered and ADE has been produced in the Hyderabad ACB court. (Maxim News)
