A serious incident has come to light at JNTU in Hyderabad, where a professor allegedly assaulted a guest faculty member over a long period. The matter surfaced late, but the victim’s account shows a pattern of threats, coercion and harassment that deeply disturbed the campus community. The victim said the professor deceived her by making her believe they belonged to the same social group and used that trust to exploit her.
According to the input, the professor threatened to remove the victim from her job. He also “raped her several times” by using this threat. The incident escalated further when the professor allegedly demolished the victim’s house. Meanwhile, the victim stated that he kept her with him until midnight on the pretext of work. This created differences between her and her husband, and she eventually began living alone.
The victim said the professor took advantage of her loneliness. She stated that he subjected her to physical and mental harassment. She further said he attempted to rape her inside his chamber. As the harassment continued, the victim experienced severe mental distress. Therefore, she decided to approach the police for help.
Later, the KPHB police arrested the accused professor and sent him to remand. The incident caused fear among several students and employees at the university. They expressed concern about the safety of staff members and demanded strict action against the accused. The case has triggered strong reactions on campus, as many consider the allegations a serious breach of trust and responsibility.
