Ahobilam Temple Collapse In South Africa: 4 Dead

South Africa, Durban City/Internet/Hyderabad, Dec 14 (Maxim News): The New Ahobilam Temple under construction in South Africa has collapsed. The four-storey New Ahobilam Temple under construction in a town near Durban city in that country collapsed on Friday, officials there said. Four people were killed in the incident.

A 52-year-old man of Indian origin was also among the dead. It is understood that workers and several temple officials were on duty at the time of the accident. Rescue operations were suspended on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions. The rescue operation will be resumed if the weather improves. However, it is not yet clear how many people are trapped under the rubble.

Officials said that there is a huge delay in removing the debris as there are tons of debris. Officials said that the Indian-origin person who died in the accident has been identified as Vicky Jairaj Pandey, an executive member of the temple trust and construction project manager. He said that he had been working on the development of the temple for almost two years. He said that the reasons for the accident are yet to be known. (Maxim News)
