Watch: Medak Road Accident Kills Pedestrian After Car Hits Him

Hyderabad: A Medak road accident claimed the life of a man after a speeding car hit him while he was walking to work early Monday morning. The impact was so severe that the victim was flung into the air and died on the spot. The incident occurred at Pothum Settipalli in Kolcharam mandal of Medak district and has once again raised concern over rising road accidents.

According to the available details, the victim was identified as Sridhar, a resident of Gandi Maisamma in Hyderabad. He worked as a porter at the IML depot in Chinna Ghanpur. As part of his daily routine, Sridhar was walking along the roadside to reach his workplace when the accident occurred. Meanwhile, a car moving at high speed approached from behind and rammed into him.

The force of the collision threw Sridhar several feet into the air. He suffered severe injuries and died instantly at the spot. Local people who witnessed the Medak road accident alerted the police immediately. However, there was nothing that could be done to save him.

Soon after receiving information, police rushed to the scene. They inspected the area and gathered preliminary details. Later, officers seized the body and shifted it to a government hospital for postmortem examination. Police also registered a case and began an investigation to identify the circumstances that led to the crash.

Meanwhile, officials noted that road accidents have increased in recent times. Many such incidents occur due to overspeeding, reckless driving, and negligence. In several cases, innocent pedestrians lose their lives despite not being at fault. The Medak road accident is another example of how unsafe roads have become, especially during early morning hours.

Residents in the area expressed concern over speeding vehicles on village and connecting roads. They said pedestrians often face danger while walking to work. However, no further details were shared about the driver or the vehicle involved in this case.

Later, police said they would examine all available evidence as part of the investigation. They are also expected to verify how fast the vehicle was moving and whether traffic rules were violated. Meanwhile, the incident has left the victim’s family in shock and grief.

Authorities have once again urged drivers to follow traffic rules and avoid speeding. They have also appealed to motorists to stay alert, especially on rural roads where pedestrians frequently walk. The Medak road accident has added to growing concerns over road safety and preventable deaths.
