Employees warn that this impasse has created uncertainty around future salary cycles and arrear payments. Even Chairman Syed Azmathullah Hussaini has not received his salary, and the daily wage earners have also remained unpaid for the past six months.

Officials and community stakeholders also express concern that the rift could affect implementation of the Umeed portal, the central platform mandated for uploading Waqf property details across the country.

The Telangana Waqf Board has already been under pressure to complete data entry of thousands of institutions on the portal within national deadlines, and any disruption in workflow or supervision could delay compliance.

Observers caution that delays in digitisation may hinder transparency efforts and complicate protection of Waqf assets.

Staff unions are urging the government to intervene, secure immediate payment of all pending salaries, and mediate a durable resolution between the chairman and the CEO so that regular work, including welfare and property management programmes, can resume without disruption.
