Big Shock For Telangana: CWC Permits For Banakacherla: Harish Rao Reveals Evidence

Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): The controversial project Banakacharla between the two Telugu states has once again become a topic of discussion. There is a huge uproar in Telangana politics over the approval of the Central Water Board for the Banakacharla project. Former minister and senior BRS leader Harish Rao has come under fire over this. He warned that the Revanth Reddy government should wake up from ‘sleepy sleep’ or else Telangana’s water interests will be permanently affected.

Harish Rao said that it is a grave injustice to Telangana that the CWC has given key approvals to the Godavari-Banakacherla link project proposed by the Andhra Pradesh government. He said that it is against the spirit of federalism for the Centre to give these approvals without taking the opinion of the Telangana state. He expressed his anger that while the AP government is calling for tenders, the Telangana government is not even approaching the court. “Does the government not see these approvals? Or is it pretending to be lying?” he asked. (Maxim News)
