  • Fencing and boards installed to stop encroachment on government land

HYDRA fenced 12.17 acres of government land in Gandhamguda village of Gandipet mandal to prevent further encroachment. The land falls under survey number 43. Officials took this step after confirming that the property belongs to the government. The fencing aims to protect the land from illegal occupation and ensure it remains secure.

According to the available information, the total extent of government land in the same survey number is 26 acres. However, authorities have already allocated part of this land for public use. One acre was set aside for an electricity substation. Another nine acres were allocated for a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation dumping yard. As a result, the remaining unallocated land became vulnerable to encroachment over time.

Meanwhile, HYDRA raised a complaint with locals at Prajavani, stating that the unallocated government land was gradually being occupied. Following this complaint, officials carried out a ground inspection. During the inspection, they verified that the land in question was indeed government property. Therefore, they moved ahead with measures to protect the remaining area.

The inspection also revealed that a temple and a mosque had already been constructed on the site. However, HYDRA clarified its approach through action. The agency took steps to secure the remaining land without interfering with the existing religious structures. This decision focused on preventing future encroachments rather than disturbing what was already built.

Later, HYDRA installed boards at the site clearly stating that the land belongs to the government. These boards serve as a warning and a public notice. They also help create awareness among locals about the legal status of the land. Officials believe this will reduce the risk of further occupation attempts.

Therefore, the fencing of 12.17 acres marks a preventive step by HYDRA to safeguard government land in Gandhamguda village. The action follows complaints, verification, and on ground inspection. It also highlights the agency’s effort to balance land protection while avoiding interference with existing structures.
