Akbaruddin Owaisi Flags Gaps In Telangana Minority Budget
Hyderabad, Jan. 5 (Maxim News): AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Monday criticised the Minority Budget in the Telangana Assembly, alleging that allocations fall short of community needs.
Speaking during the winter session discussion, Akbaruddin Owaisi said the Minority Budget failed to adequately support welfare schemes.
Owaisi pointed to delays in scholarships and loans meant for minority students and beneficiaries.
Akbar Owaisi said funding for minority sub plans remains insufficient. Owaisi also alleged that several assurances made earlier by the government remain unfulfilled.
Minority Budget allocations under scrutiny
Akbaruddin Owaisi argued that key sectors such as education and housing received limited funds in the Minority Budget.
He noted that scholarship allocations declined despite an increase in applications.
Akbar Owaisi demanded an immediate increase in budgetary support. He also referred to trends at the national level where minority welfare funds faced reductions.
The MLA said Telangana’s minority schemes aim to support Muslims, Christians, and other communities. He stressed that effective implementation depends on realistic allocations.
In earlier sessions, he welcomed certain initiatives but continued to seek higher funding and timely execution.
