Degree PG syllabus | Hyderabad, Jan. 21: The Telangana government has decided to comprehensively revamp the Degree and PG syllabus to improve student employability and align courses with industry needs.
The move aims to ensure that higher education directly supports job opportunities and skill development.
The decision was taken on Tuesday during the Council Executive Committee meeting of the Telangana Council of Higher Education held in Hyderabad.
The meeting was chaired by TGCHE Chairman Professor Balakista Reddy and attended by Education Department Secretary Yogita Rana.
Officials decided that the new curriculum should go beyond academic theory and reflect practical requirements.

Senior professors from reputed institutions such as IITs, CCMB, DRDO, and central universities will provide expert inputs for syllabus restructuring.
The focus will be on designing courses that enable students to secure employment while pursuing their degrees and post graduation.
The council noted that such job oriented courses currently exist in only a few colleges. It decided to extend them to more government and private colleges across the state.
Authorities also stressed the need for mutual cooperation in resource utilization among institutions.
Universities were advised to support polytechnic students by allowing access to advanced laboratories and sports facilities.
The council also directed that upcoming common entrance tests be conducted smoothly without technical or logistical issues for students.
The meeting reviewed assistant professor vacancies, executive council constitution, and other administrative matters. Senior officials from higher education and Technical Education Commissioner Devasena attended the meeting.
