Municipal elections: BJP National leaders to campaign in Telangana
- BJP Party plans statewide rallies and strategy
Municipal elections | Hyderabad, Jan. 23: Municipal elections preparations have intensified in Telangana, with the BJP party leadership placing special focus on the upcoming polls.
As part of the strategy, the high command has recently appointed three state in charge leaders to oversee the election process, candidate selection, and campaign planning.
Under their supervision, the party will manage the entire municipal elections exercise. BJP leaders have decided to hold five large public meetings across the state to boost candidate prospects.
Proposals related to these rallies have already been sent to BJP national general secretary B L Santhosh, senior leaders confirmed.
The party plans to deploy both state leaders and national leadership for the campaign. Ministers and senior leaders from other states are also expected to participate, party sources said.
Municipal elections | National leaders to address key BJP municipal elections rallies
BJP national president Nitin Nabin Sinha is scheduled to address rallies in Karimnagar and Nizamabad. Party president J P Nadda will attend the public meeting in Mahabubnagar.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to campaign in Suryapet, Nalgonda, and Khammam districts.
State BJP president Ramchander Rao has called on party cadres to work towards making these rallies successful.
Rao issued the appeal during a meeting with party office bearers at the BJP state headquarters on Thursday.
During the meeting, several key decisions were taken regarding BJP municipal elections. District leaders were directed to prepare plans to counter the ruling Congress and opposition BRS.
The leadership asked them to focus on winning a majority of municipal seats through coordinated campaigning and strong candidate selection.
