Surveys Are The Standard: Winning Is The Priority: BJP

Hyderabad, Jan 29 (Maxim News): The BJP is taking the corporations seriously in the upcoming elections.  It is moving forward with surveys as a standard in the selection of candidates with the aim of winning.  In the recent meeting of top leaders, the BJP has set a goal to focus on five of the seven corporations where elections are being held .

However, the fact that BJP is strong in some places and weak in others is becoming a challenge for the party.  It is delegating responsibilities to senior leaders along with MPs, MLAs, MLCs.  It has chosen the campaign weapon that urban development is possible only with funds from central schemes.  

BJP has high hopes for Karimnagar Corporation this time.  Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay has given special attention to it as he is a sitting MP.  BJP, which won 13 seats in the last corporation election, is using the Rs. 479 crore funds provided by the Centre under the Smart City scheme as its main campaign weapon.  The process of selecting candidates based on the survey is almost complete.

BJP which won 28 seats out of 60 division in Nizamabad in the last election, has high hopes for the mayoral seat this time.  Sitting MP Dharmapuri Arvind has given special attention.  The party has focused on 43 divisions.

The BJP is making strategic moves in the Nalgonda Corporation.  it is aiming to repeat the sentiment of BJP leader Boinapalli krishna Reddy being elected as the first municipal council chairman in 1995, with hopes of winning the mayoral seat.  Union Minister Kishan Reddy and others have already visited Nalgonda.

Party leaders say that they are targeting to win at least 30 seats in the Mahabubnagar Corporation  Sitting MP Dk Aruna has been given special focus.  

There are 60 divisions  in Ramagundam Corporation.  The BJP had won six divisions here in the past.  This time, it is moving forward with the aim of making an impact in all the divisions.  However, the party’s lack of strength across the city has become a challenge

There are 60 divisions in Kothagudem, which has recently become a corporation.  This time, the BJP has decided to field candidates in all of them.  The main goal this time is to open an account, given that not a single council has won in the last four municipal elections.

The BJP is trying to make a strong presence in mancherial, which has become a corporation for the first time.  The party has strong candidates in only a quarter of the 60 divisions.  In the rest, the dissatisfaction of other parties has led to the party focusing on the selection of locally renowned leaders.  (Maxim News)
