The complaint relates to his remarks concerning Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam and his religion. Other Congress leaders were also present during the submission of the complaint.

The leaders approached the Human Rights Commission expressing concern over the remarks made by the MLA.

Meanwhile, the issue drew the attention of the Telangana IPS Association. Recently, the association issued a statement on the matter.

It asked the MLA to apologise in front of the public. The statement reflected concern within the police fraternity over comments linked to the religion of a senior officer.

The development added pressure on the MLA as the issue gained wider notice.

Later, MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy responded to the developments. MLA Kaushik released a video on his social media handle “x” and apologised.
