According to the available information, officials have installed a total of 788 hundis in Medaram this time. A large number of devotees visited the Jatara and offered their gifts and oblations through these hundis. Therefore, authorities expect the counting process to take time. Officials estimate that the Medaram hundi counting is likely to continue for about 10 days due to the volume of offerings.

Meanwhile, Minister Konda Surekha spoke during the start of the counting process. She recalled the outcome of the previous Jatara. She said that last time, an income of Rs. 13 crore was received from the hundis. This statement provided context to the scale of the current counting exercise. However, no estimate was shared about the expected income from this year’s Medaram hundis.

The Medaram Maha Jatara attracts devotees in large numbers. Many visitors come to offer gifts as part of their religious practice. As a result, the hundis play a key role in collecting offerings during the event. Officials therefore follow a structured process to count the collections in a secure manner. The counting is being carried out at a designated location under official supervision.

Later, the counting will continue in phases until all hundis are opened and recorded. The process follows established procedures to ensure accuracy.
