The incident triggered an overnight agitation on the campus, drawing support from student groups.

According to students, the woman had visited the Osmania University hostel to meet her daughter. As it grew late, she reportedly requested permission to stay for the night and leave the next morning.

However, hostel authorities allegedly refused the request and asked her to vacate immediately.

Students claimed the staff denied the request despite repeated appeals. They alleged that the woman was asked to leave even though it was late at night.

Osmania University Hostel Protest Continues

Following the incident, hostel inmates gathered outside and launched a sit in protest. They questioned how parents could be treated without respect on campus.

Moreover, they demanded immediate action against the officials responsible.

The protest, which began on Wednesday night, continued into Thursday morning. Meanwhile, students from other hostels and representatives of student unions extended their support.

As tensions escalated, police reached the Osmania University campus to monitor the situation. Security was tightened to prevent further disturbances.
