Telangana Municipal Election Counting First Result Out

Hyderabad, Feb. 13: Telangana municipal election counting gathered pace on Friday morning as officials began the process at 8 am across the State.

First, authorities counted ballot votes. Later, they started the regular vote counting in all centres.

At 9.20 am, the first result in Telangana municipal election counting was declared. In Ibrahimpatnam Municipality, the BRS candidate Trilok won from Ward 12. Soon after, officials announced more ward results from the same municipality.

Meanwhile, the BRS candidate secured victory in Ward 11 of Ibrahimpatnam Municipality.

However, in Ward 15, Congress candidate Sarita won the seat. As counting continues, officials are releasing results in phases.

Officials stated that counting is progressing smoothly under tight security. Police have deployed forces at counting centres to prevent any disturbance. Therefore, authorities expect the process to conclude peacefully.

Earlier, counting began with ballot papers as per protocol. Then, officials moved to the main vote counting process. As trends emerge, parties are closely watching results ward by ward.

The counting will decide the outcome in 116 municipalities and seven corporations. Hence, political parties are keenly tracking early leads and confirmed wins.

Authorities have urged candidates and supporters to maintain calm. They also appealed for cooperation so that counting proceeds without incident across all centres.
