Trade Connect Portal Workshop Held By FTCCI

Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry organised the Workshop on Trade Connect Portal on February 16, 2026, at the FTCCI Surana Auditorium, Federation House, Red Hills. FTCCI conducted the programme with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs and the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Government of India.

DGFT Officials Highlight Trade Connect Portal Benefits

Mr Akshay SC, Joint DGFT, and Mr Sambhaji Appasaheb Chavan, Joint DGFT, attended the workshop as guests. They explained the Government of India’s initiatives to support exporters through digital transformation. They also urged participants to actively use the Trade Connect Portal for product specific and country specific trade data.

They said the portal provides global demand trends, trade standards, and insights on Free Trade Agreements. They described the Trade Connect Portal as a game changer for exporters. “The Trade Connect Portal is not just a website but a strategic support system that strengthens India’s competitiveness in international trade,” Akshay SC and Sambhaji Chavan said.

They added that the portal brings market intelligence, trade data, tariff details, and regulatory guidance into one platform. Therefore, exporters need not rely on multiple sources. The portal helps users make smarter market decisions, reduce risks, and use government schemes better. It also opens doors to global opportunities while saving time and costs.

FTCCI Emphasises Digital Export Competitiveness

Around 70 exporters, importers, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs attended the workshop. They showed keen interest in using the Trade Connect Portal to expand their global trade footprint. Meanwhile, Mr R. Ravi Kumar, President, FTCCI, delivered the welcome address. He stressed the growing role of digital platforms in boosting export competitiveness.

Mr Chakravarthy AVPS, Chairman, International Trade and Business Relations Committee, FTCCI, highlighted the portal’s relevance under the Foreign Trade Policy. He said it simplifies international trade processes.

Trade Connect Portal Workshop Held By FTCCI

Ms Dhiya R., Deputy DGFT, delivered a technical session on the Introduction, Features and Benefits of Onboarding on Trade Connect Portal. She explained real time trade event updates, HS code based analytics, and linkages with Indian Missions abroad, Export Promotion Councils, EXIM Bank, and the Certificate of Origin application process.

Later, DGFT officials conducted a hands on registration session. Participants joined an interactive Q and A session. Officials guided them on onboarding steps and IEC registration requirements.
