Jubilee Hills Chain Snatching Case Couple Arrested

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills Chain Snatching case saw a breakthrough after police arrested a couple involved in the crime. The incident took place in Jubilee Hills. Later, police detained the accused at the borders of the Telugu states while they were fleeing towards Andhra Pradesh. Subsequently, officers arrested them and brought them to the police station for questioning.

According to police, the woman committed the offence along with her boyfriend for the sake of Jalsa. During the investigation, police found that she is 33 years old and he is 23 years old. However, officials did not disclose further personal details.

CCTV Footage Leads to Arrest in Jubilee Hills Chain Snatching

The victim, K. Manasa, stays in a hostel in Madhapur, Hyderabad. She works as an engineer in a software company on Jubilee Hills Road No. 39. On Tuesday, 17-02-2026 morning, she was walking from her hostel to her office. When she reached Jubilee Hills Road No. 44, a young man on an Activa bike suddenly stopped the vehicle.

Meanwhile, a young woman sitting on the back seat snatched the gold chain from Manasa’s neck. Then, the duo fled from the spot. Immediately, the victim filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police. Therefore, police registered a case and began an investigation.

As part of the probe, officers examined CCTV footage at the scene. They collected the footage and sent it to all police stations. Later, during checks at the borders of the Telugu states, police caught the couple. Subsequently, they took them into custody and questioned them.
