Harish Rao’s Allegations Regarding Saradha Peetham Lands: Govt Responded 

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (Maxim News): BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao has leveled allegations against the government in the Sarada Peetham land issue in Kokapet Neopolis. The state government has responded to this. The government on Saturday gave clarity on Harish Rao’s comments. It explained that an additional 3.95 acres of land has been allotted to the Water Board in Neopolis. It clarified that the existing 8.75 acres are sufficient for the construction of MBR and ELSR.

It reminded us that the Water Board has requested the government for additional land for OHT, site office and maintenance. The government has clarified that the terrain at an altitude of +592 meters is suitable for water supply through gravity. It has been clarified that water supply will be provided to Neopolis and Kokapet areas without the need for pumping. It has been explained that Godavari water will be supplied by gravity to Bojagutta reservoir. It has expressed confidence that this will benefit Old City, Shaikpet, Red Hills and Mehdipatnam areas.

In addition, the government has explained that there will be huge savings in current charges. The government has clearly revealed that it has set a target of transferring an additional 300 MGD of water through the Godavari Phase-II & III project. (Maxim News)
