Hyderabad, Mar 2 (Maxim News): The Andhra Pradesh government has launched measures to bring back Telugus stranded in Gulf nations amid rising Iran Israel tensions. State NRI Affairs Minister Kondapalli Srinivas said officials have begun coordinated efforts to ensure their safe return.
He said passengers face problems at airports due to the tense situation. Therefore, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is monitoring developments closely. He is reviewing the situation at regular intervals.
The minister said the government has activated its support network. Andhra Pradesh Non Resident Telugu Society coordinators have arranged temporary accommodation where needed. In addition, officials are guiding affected people on travel updates.
Iran Israel Tensions Prompt AP Evacuation Plan
Kondapalli Srinivas urged stranded Telugus to stay in touch with Indian embassies in their respective countries. He asked them to follow official advisories at all times. Moreover, he advised them to use the state helpline for quick assistance.
The Andhra Pradesh Non Resident Telugu Society is operating a 24 by 7 helpline. Affected individuals can call 0863 2340678 for immediate support. They can also send messages on WhatsApp to +91 85000 27678. In addition, they may email helpline@apnrts.com for help.
The minister said the government will respond without delay. He added that officials will coordinate with central authorities when required. As a result, stranded residents will receive timely support.
Iran Israel tensions have raised security concerns across parts of the Gulf region. Several countries have increased alerts at airports and public spaces. Consequently, flight schedules have faced disruptions in some areas.
