Hyderabad, Mar 9 (Maxim News): The FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers began with an exciting match between Italy and Austria in Hyderabad. The international tournament is being hosted in the city as teams compete for a place in the upcoming Hockey World Cup.
CH Priyanka, Special Commissioner of Information and Public Relations, inaugurated the match. The opening ceremony marked the start of the important qualification event.

Among them were S V S Gupta, President of Hockey Karnataka, and Manoj Bhore, Vice President of Hockey Maharashtra and Member of the Hockey India Executive Board. Gurpreet Kaur, Member of the Hockey India Executive Board, was also present during the event.
