Kavitha hunger strike Velugumatla | Hyderabad, March 10: Kalvakuntla Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi, continued her hunger strike on Tuesday in Hyderabad. Kavitha started the protest to support families whose houses were demolished in Velugumatla.
On Monday night, Kavitha began the hunger strike near Ambedkar Bhavan. However, police detained her during the night. Later, they shifted her to Hyderabad.

On Tuesday morning, Kavitha reached the Telangana Jagruthi office. After that, Kavitha resumed her hunger strike there. She said the protest will continue until the victims receive justice.
Kavitha strongly criticised the demolition of houses in Bhoodan lands. Therefore, she demanded that the government provide proper rehabilitation to the affected families. In addition, she asked officials to rebuild the houses at the same place.
