Telangana Thunderstorm Alert From June 6

The IMD has indicated that thunderstorm activity will intensify across the state from June 6. As a result, all districts of Telangana are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.

Moreover, weather officials expect a gradual drop in daytime temperatures due to increased cloud cover and rainfall activity. Maximum temperatures in most districts are likely to range between 36 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius over the coming days.

In districts experiencing intense thunderstorms, temperatures may remain below 36 degrees Celsius. Therefore, residents can expect comparatively cooler weather conditions after several days of high temperatures.

The forecast comes as weather systems over the region continue to strengthen ahead of the monsoon season. Consequently, several parts of the state may receive scattered to widespread rainfall during the first week of June.

The IMD advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorm activity and avoid open areas during lightning events. Additionally, commuters should expect temporary disruptions due to strong winds and sudden showers in urban and rural areas.

According to the department, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at a few places across Telangana over the next several days. The weather agency also predicted a gradual fall of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures during the next four days.
