Serious Consequences If Cases Are Registered Against Farmers: Bandi Sanjay Warns

Hyderabad, Mar 10 (Maxim News): Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has condemned the arrest of farmers who protested for the completion of the Ranganayak Sagar Canal work in Rajanna Sircilla district. Speaking to the media today (Tuesday), the Union Minister said that if the farmers protest to keep the promise given, they will be arrested. The Union Minister questioned why the canal work that supplies water from Ranganayak Sagar to Pedda Lingapur and Tangallapally mandals is not being completed. The local MLA announced that Rs. 3 crore funds have been released and asked why the work has not started even after a year.

He clarified that if the canal work had been completed, 9,500 acres would have received irrigation water. Bandi Sanjay accused KTR of being a traitor to farmers for not providing water to Sircilla district through Ranganayak Sagar during his years in power. The Union Minister said that farmers are losing their crops one after another due to the failures of the Congress and BRS rulers. He warned that if the work is not started immediately, the farmers of the respective areas are at risk of serious losses. He said that it is unfair to arrest the farmers who asked for justice.

The Union Minister strongly criticized the illegal transfer of party leaders including BJP district president Gopi to the station, who expressed solidarity with the farmers. He warned that there would be serious consequences if cases were registered against the farmers. He demanded the immediate unconditional release of the farmers and BJP leaders. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded the completion of the canal works through LM 4 and LM 6 from the 11th package of Ranganayak Sagar. (Maxim News)
