Hyderabad, April 26: In a major development for Telangana RTC employees, leaders of the RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) met and felicitated State Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G Vivek Venkatswamy at his residence, thanking him for the government’s landmark decisions addressing long-pending issues of RTC workers.
The JAC leaders said the Congress government had fulfilled a decades-old demand by moving forward with the merger of RTC with the government, a step they described as historic for thousands of employees and their families.
Key Decisions Welcome by RTC Employees
The leaders also welcomed several important measures announced for RTC staff, including:
- Recognition union elections
- 11% PRC (Pay Revision Commission) benefit for RTC employees
- Steps aimed at improving employee welfare and job security
They said these decisions had brought fresh hope and confidence among RTC workers across the state.
Leaders Express Gratitude
During the meeting, union leaders Venkanna, Thomas Reddy, Ashwaddhama Reddy, Hanumanthu Mudiraj, and others conveyed their appreciation to the minister and the state government for taking positive action on worker-related demands.

Call for Better Public Service
The JAC leaders said the latest reforms would help strengthen Telangana’s public transport system and improve services for commuters.
They appealed to RTC employees to work with renewed dedication, unity, and commitment to make the organisation stronger and more efficient in the coming days.
