Hyderabad, May 2: A 32-year-old woman died by suicide following a domestic quarrel in Jeedimetla on Friday evening, police said.
Incident Details
The deceased, identified as Kavya, was living in a live-in relationship with Venkatesh alias Chandu at Prashanthnagar in Jeedimetla.
According to police, an argument broke out between the couple after Kavya asked Chandu to recharge her mobile phone, which he reportedly failed to do. Following the dispute, Chandu left the house.
Kavya then locked herself inside the room and died by suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan.
Police Action
Chandu returned later and found her unresponsive. He immediately informed the police.
Officials reached the spot, conducted preliminary inquiries, and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
