Hyderabad, May 2: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his mother-in-law by hitting her with a helmet while riding a bike in Chengicherla under Medchal district. The crime, initially projected as an accident, was later exposed through CCTV footage.
Argument Turns Fatal
The victim, Kolla Aruna (39), had reportedly argued with her son-in-law Karru Snehit (28) a day before the incident over personal issues related to his marriage with her daughter Kavya.
- Snehit allegedly called Aruna and spoke angrily
- The dispute escalated over family matters
Planned Attack Disguised as Accident
According to police and CCTV evidence:
- Snehit picked up Aruna on his bike the next day
- During the ride, he allegedly struck her on the head with a helmet
- She fell off the vehicle and suffered severe injuries
He then called his wife Kavya claiming:
- Aruna had suffered a fit and fallen accidentally
- He had rushed her to hospital
However, Aruna succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Suspicious of her husband’s version, Kavya:
- Checked CCTV cameras near a Hanuman temple in the locality
- Found clear footage showing the assault
- Approached police with evidence
