Chennai/Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): Actor and TVK Party Chief Vijay has created a sensation in Tamil Nadu. Vijay’s party has triumphed, defying the expectations of most exit polls. Out of the total 234 seats, the party is leading in about 110 seats, becoming the single largest party. AIADMK is leading in more than 70 seats. The situation of the ruling DMK is worse. The party is limited to third place with a lead in only 60 seats.
The DMK ranks were deeply disappointed. The party headquarters in Chennai was deserted as no workers or leaders turned up due to the negative results. The party workers, unable to digest the defeat in several constituencies, wept bitterly. Arrangements were made at the DMK headquarters to celebrate if they won. But since the results were not promising, everything is being removed. The tents set up for the celebrations have been removed. Other equipment brought for enjoying games and songs has been sent back. (Maxim News)
