Hyderabad, May 10: Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad on Saturday for the first time after assuming office as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.
Officials and police have made elaborate arrangements across the city for the visit. Meanwhile, the BJP leadership has intensified preparations for the Prime Minister’s public meeting at Parade Grounds.
During the visit, Modi will participate in official programmes and launch multiple development projects worth nearly Rs. 8,000 crore.
Modi to launch major development projects in Telangana
According to the official schedule, Modi will arrive at Begumpet Airport at 2.50 pm in a special aircraft.
After arriving, he will travel to Hyderabad International Convention Centre for official events. A. Revanth Reddy will also attend the programme.
Between 3.30 pm and 4 pm, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several projects. These include development works in the Zaheerabad Integrated Industrial Smart City, national highway works from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar and an Indian Oil Corporation terminal.
In addition, Modi will dedicate the Kazipet to Vijayawada railway tripling project to the nation. He will also lay the foundation stone for the PM Mitra Mega Textile Park in Warangal district.
Later, at 4.10 pm, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Sai Sindhu Hospital in the Hitec City area.
At 5.10 pm, Modi will return to Begumpet Airport by helicopter.
Massive public meeting at Parade Grounds
The Prime Minister will address a BJP public meeting at Parade Grounds from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
Party leaders have been preparing for the event for the past several days. Moreover, BJP workers installed banners, arches, flex boards and cutouts across Hyderabad ahead of the visit.
Authorities also arranged special parking facilities and traffic management plans to avoid inconvenience to the public attending the meeting.
After completing the programme, Modi will reach Begumpet Airport at 7.40 pm and later leave for Jamnagar in Gujarat in a special aircraft.
