Hyderabad, May 14: Complaint filed against Udhayanidhi Stalin over remarks as a Telangana lawyer approached the President seeking action.
The complaint was submitted on Wednesday by a human rights lawyer. He alleged that the remarks were offensive to Hindu religious beliefs.
The complaint targets Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of M K Stalin. It relates to his statement on Sanatana Dharma.
The petitioner said the comments called for eradication of Sanatana Dharma. He claimed this hurt religious sentiments and sought legal action.
He also stated that the remarks were widely discussed but not adequately addressed. He urged authorities to examine the issue.
Officials have not yet issued a response on the complaint. Further action will depend on review by the concerned authorities.
