Hyderabad, May 20: An elderly woman from Chinnapur village in Jagtial district has accused a Congress sarpanch’s husband of illegally registering her house plot by promising to secure her a pension.
The woman, identified as Musse Gangavva from Buggaram mandal, submitted a complaint to Jagtial Collector Satya Prasad on Tuesday seeking cancellation of the alleged illegal registration.
Gangavva said her husband died several years ago and the house where she currently lives is registered in the names of her sons, Rajalingam and Lingam, at the Jagtial Sub Registrar Office. She stated that she has been residing on the property for years and regularly pays Panchayat taxes.
Jagtial Plot Registration Dispute
According to the complaint, the ruling party sarpanch’s husband, Gattu Gangaram, allegedly colluded with her elder son Rajesh and got a six gunta house plot registered by assuring her that he would arrange a pension.
She alleged that after the registration, Gangaram sold the plot to Gaddam Mahesh, who later transferred it to Ganaveni Vennela of Chinnapur.
Gangavva further claimed that Ganaveni Vennela and her family members were preventing her from constructing a wall around the house.
The elderly woman said she had already initiated legal action against Gattu Gangaram, Gaddam Mahesh and Ganaveni Vennela over the alleged illegal registration.
She appealed to the district collector to cancel the registration and grant permission for construction of the compound wall.
