Hyderabad, June 2: A minor girl allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad’s Saidabad area, police said on Sunday. The incident occurred in Singareni Colony and has triggered concern among local residents and the victim’s family.
According to family members, the girl had been facing alleged harassment from a youth residing in the same locality. They claimed she had been under severe emotional distress for some time before taking the extreme step.
The family also stated that the girl left behind a handwritten note. According to them, the note mentioned circumstances that may have contributed to her decision. However, police have not yet disclosed the contents of the note.
Following a complaint from the family, Saidabad Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Officers are examining the handwritten note and gathering evidence to determine the sequence of events that led to the tragedy.
Police said they are verifying all allegations made by the family. They are also recording statements from relatives, neighbors, and other persons connected to the case.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family has demanded strict action against anyone found responsible. They urged authorities to conduct a thorough probe and ensure justice.
Officials clarified that the exact cause behind the death will be established only after the completion of the investigation. They added that all angles are being examined and appropriate action will follow based on the findings.
The body was shifted for postmortem examination, and further investigation is in progress.
