Nara Lokesh takes oath as MLC
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh took oath as Member of Legislative Council (MLC).
He took oath in the Legislative Council’s BAC hall today. Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani administered the oath to Mr.Lokesh, the National General Secretary of Telugu Desam party.
Mr.Lokesh was elected for Legislative Council unanimously. Mr.Lokesh’s father-in-law cum maternal uncle, MLA N Balakrishna, a host of Ministers, MLAs and MLCs were present on the occasion.
After taking oath as MLC, Lokesh sat in his seat in the Council.
It may be mentioned here that seven TDP candidates, including Nara Lokesh, were elected unopposed to the Legislative Council from MLA’s quota few days ago.
Earlier, Mr.Lokesh paid homage to the TDP founder and his maternal grand-father late N T Rama Rao in the TDP state party office in Guntur.
Political speculation is that Nara Lokesh would be inducted into the state Cabinet. The Cabinet expansion is likely to take place in the first week of April, Sources claimed.
