Hyderabad, June 4: The Telangana Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast thunderstorms and rain in several districts of the State over the next two hours and advised people to remain alert.
Meteorological Department official Balaji said scattered heavy thundershowers are likely in multiple districts before expanding into a wider weather system later in the day.
Thunderstorms Likely in Several Telangana Districts
According to the forecast, heavy thundershowers are expected in Adilabad, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.
Officials said the weather activity could intensify after 2 pm and develop into more widespread thunderstorms across several regions of Telangana.
Rainfall is also expected in Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts during the afternoon hours.

The department further stated that thunderstorms are likely to begin in parts of South Hyderabad after 2.30 pm before spreading to other areas of the city.
People have been advised to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant, especially in areas vulnerable to lightning, strong winds and heavy rainfall.
The Meteorological Department is closely monitoring the situation and may issue further updates based on changing weather conditions.
