Telangana Govt | Hyderabad, June 4 (Maxim News) : In a major boost for unemployed youth in Telangana, the state government has given the green signal for the recruitment of 1,597 government posts across multiple departments, marking another large-scale hiring drive under the current administration.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reportedly approved the file related to the recruitment process, paving the way for the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) to release an official notification soon. According to officials, the announcement is expected within the next two to three days.
The recruitment drive includes posts across three major categories. These are 180 Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) posts in the Finance Department, 24 Deputy District Educational Officer (Dy DEO) posts in the Education Department, and 1,393 Forest Beat Officer (FBO) posts in the Forest Department.
Among these, the Forest Beat Officer posts form the largest share, making it a significant opportunity for candidates interested in uniformed services and field-based government roles.
Eligibility and Selection Process
Candidates who have completed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for Forest Beat Officer posts. Applicants must fall within the age group of 18 to 31 years, with applicable relaxations for SC, ST, BC, and differently-abled candidates as per government norms.
Physical fitness standards will also play a key role in selection. Male candidates must meet a minimum height requirement of 163 cm with a chest expansion of 5 cm, while female candidates must have a minimum height of 150 cm with similar fitness standards. Normal eyesight and absence of colour blindness are mandatory.
The selection process will include a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Physical Test for shortlisted candidates. The written examination will consist of two papers covering General Knowledge and General Mathematics, each carrying 100 marks.
Application Process and Salary Details
The online application process is expected to begin in the first week of June through the official TGPSC website. Final details will be included in the official notification.
Selected candidates are expected to receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹42,000 along with applicable allowances.
Officials stated that the large-scale recruitment aims to strengthen manpower across departments, especially in the Forest Department, where vacancies are significantly high.
